Karen L. Richards
December 31, 1942–February 16, 2018
Karen was born in Indianapolis. She taught in the Indianapolis Public Schools as an elementary school teacher and a special education teacher. Prior to that, Karen taught at both Indian Creek and Clark Pleasant Schools. She retired from teaching in 2002.

Mary ‘Mickie’ Williams
June 18, 1925–January 6, 2018
Mickie was born in the mountain town of Hayden, Colorado. In 1958, Mickie created a preschool at the Village Green Building in Nashville, IN. After completing her master’s degree, she taught kindergarten in the Indianapolis school system until her retirement in 1988. She moved to Brown County in retirement. (Her daughter, Ann Woods, taught art at Van Buren Elementary and Nashville Elementary in Brown County.)

Bernard F. Brand
May 31, 1924–December 9, 2017
Bernard was born in Brown County. He taught secondary school in Bartholomew County for 10 years. He was then a business teacher for 37 years at Brown County High School.

Virginia Young
March 30, 1924–December 17, 2016
Virginia was from Franklin, Indiana. She taught Latin, English, and mathematics for over 40 years at Brown County High School.

John Skinner
September 29, 1938–November 5, 2015
John was born in Muncie, Indiana. He was a teacher and basketball coach at Brown County High School from 1994 to 1997.

Tesh Wickard
June 10, 1924–October 31, 2014
Tesh was born near Logansport, Indiana. He taught at Culver Military Academy followed by Hauser High School, where he taught courses for many years. He moved to Nashville in retirement.
